Music wot N thinks is FABULOUS: Part 1

Jobriath - Heartbeat
Ah, I could put the entire discography of Jobriath in this post if only it was all on YouTube. I freaking love his music. It's basically glam rock with a sprinkling of musical theatre and a nice big helping of campness. This is 'Heartbeat', the opening track from his 1974 album 'Creatures of the Street'.
Bishi - Never Seen Your Face (Hardsky Mix)
The original version of this song is pretty cool, but this remix is just brilliant. Starts off sounding like just a nice bit of electronic pop, then soon throws a little surprise at ya.
Neutral Milk Hotel - The King of Carrot Flowers Pts. Two & Three
IIIIIIII LOOOOOOOVE YOOOOOUUUUU JESUUUUUUS CH-RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIST
While I wouldn't particularly consider myself a fan of this band, this is one of those songs that I feel compelled to play over and over again.
Diablo Swing Orchestra - Balrog Boogie
What do you get if you put symphonic operatic metal with swing? BALROG BOOGIE! This, in my opinion, makes epic darkspawn-slaying music, as does the rest of 'The Butcher's Ballroom'.
Queens of the Stone Age - The Sky Is Fallin'
Track 5 of one of my most favourite albums of all time, 'Songs for the Deaf'. Ahhh.
Telex - Moskow Diskow
Oh, I do love me a bit of electronic disco. Put some sexy French with that, and you're onto a winner. This little gem is from Belgian band Telex's 1979 album 'Looking For St. Tropez'.
The Knife - We Share Our Mothers' Health
Ahhh, The Knife. I first heard them while watching MTV2's 120 Minutes (which was sadly cancelled in 2009), and I soon ended up falling in love with their music. This one is from the album 'Silent Shout'.
Plan B - She Said
And here's a catchy little number from what I think was one of the best albums of 2010, 'The Defamation of Strickland Banks', which follows the story of a soul singer who gets sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit. Just brilliant.
Frank Klepacki - Target
Also known as 'Mechanical Man' amongst fans, this is an iconic track from 1995's real-time strategy game Command & Conquer. The soundtrack was half the awesomeness of the game. Ah, memories. FRANK KLEPACKI IS A GOD
Zola Jesus - Night
The song that introduced me to Zola Jesus. Her music is both electronic and veering towards the dark side, so of course, I soon became rather addicted to it. From 2010's 'Stridulum II'.
Seeing as I could go on forever, I think I'll stop here and simply make another (bajillion) post(s) at some point. Ja, indeed.
