1: Sandhja - Sing It Away (Finland)
YESSSS FINLAND!! What a strong start to the contest! Strong voice, plus that nice beat had me bopping nearly right away.
2: Argo - Utopian Land (Greece)
GREEK RAP. Well, it's got me bopping. I like the use of traditional instruments. Think this one could grow on me.
3: Lidia Isac - Falling Stars (Moldova)
Not bad! Bopping again. Another one that could grow on me. Sort of reminds me of some of the power metal I listen to, vocal melody-wise?
4: Freddie - Pioneer (Hungary)
I like his voice. Chorus falls a bit flat, though. Ehhhhhhhhhhh
5: Nina Kraljić - Lighthouse (Croatia)
[FLASHING IMAGES WARNING] It's cute. Her voice is nice. Song isn't doing much for me, though.
6: Douwe Bob - Slow Down (The Netherlands)
Pretty nice. I like his voice. Not exciting me that much, but miiiiiight grow on me.
7: Iveta Mukuchyan - LoveWave (Armenia)
WHOA that build-up to the chorus. Chorus doesn't quite match the intensity of the build-up, though. Even so... might grow on me...
8: Serhat - I Didn't Know (San Marino)
♪ I didn't know this was gonna be a smooth cheese-voiced guy singing to disco! ♪ xD I like it! It amuses me, whether it's meant to or not!
9: Sergey Lazarev - You Are the Only One (Russia)
YESSSS RUSSIA!! Mmmmm dat electronic sound. V nice, v nice. Epic bopping happening right here. NICE KEY CHANGE TOO
10: Gabriela Gunčíková - I Stand (Czech Republic)
Really nice verse. Like her voice. This one will likely grow on me.
11: Minus One - Alter Ego (Cyprus)
Rockers! ... Well, in appearance, anyway. Song is not bad.
12: Zoë - Loin d'ici (Austria)
Oh, she's cute. Song is just okay, though. Feels like it could've been more than what it is. I think it's that the chorus feels like a bridge, LOL. Katy Perry made that work in the one song of hers I actually like, but this song... just doesn't.
13: Jüri Pootsmann - Play (Estonia)
Niiiice vooooiiiice. Song doesn't blow me away... actually, the chorus is pretty naff. Oh well.
14: Samra - Miracle (Azerbaijan)
Verse is nice. Chorus is snooooooore.
15: Highway - The Real Thing (Montenegro)
[FLASHING IMAGES WARNING] Ooh, this is unusual for a Eurovision song. Think I like it. ... OOH AND IT WUBS TOO. xD
16: Greta Salóme - Hear Them Calling (Iceland)
Pretty cool! Another one that I think will grow on me.
17: Dalal & Deen feat. Ana Rucner and Jala - Ljubav je (Bosnia & Herzegovina)
(Hey, the 'In the Disco' dude!) Hm. I like the traditional sound and the fact that it's in Bosni- WHOA Bosnian rap, okay. Ehhhh, chorus is just kinda naff, though.
18: Ira Losco - Walk on Water (Malta)
Not bad! Sounds like something that I might hear on the radio.
... No Finland?! No Greece?! Why Azerbaijan and Austria?? And of course, Montenegro's entry was too good for Eurovision. Ungh, what is Europe thinking?? xD; At least Russia, Armenia, and the Czech Republic got through, though. Well, bring on the next semi-final...
