Final (18.05.19.)
4: S!sters - Sister (Germany)
Aww. The lyrics are kinda cute. Song doesn't do much for me, though.
14: Kobi Marimi - Home (Israel)
Really nice voice. Lyrics are endearing. Will need to listen to the song some more times to decide how I feel about.
16: Michael Rice - Bigger Than Us (United Kingdom)
Why is it that we never bother trying in the Eurovision. Why. We've given the world some of the most amazing and influential bands in the history of popular music, and YET. We send dogshit like this into the Eurovision. And then we have the cheek to act like, "OOOOH, HAVEN'T WE SENT SOMETHING GREEEAAAT, WHY AREN'T WE GETTING ANY VOOOOTES." No we fucking haven't. And we should fucking know it. We all deserve the biggest bitchslap in the history of bitchslaps
21: Bilal Hassani - Roi (France)
Bilal's hair is amazing. His song is not. Shitty chorus. Shame, as the message in the lyrics is nice.
22: Mahmood - Soldi (Italy)
Okay. This is alright. Don't really understand all the hype over this, though.
26: Miki - La Venda (Spain)
IT GOT A BEAT!!!!!! I am dancing in my seat. Hah, that rhymes. God, it's nice to have an entry with this much life to it in this rather lifeless year.
Results: The Netherlands won the competition - I mean, it was a decent song, certainly not one of my faves, but nowhere near complete horseshit like 'Running Scared', so I find that acceptable. Would've preferred a North Macedonia win TBH, but eh. 'S fine.
The real winners, though? Iceland, who, after having quietly shown support for LGBT people with their display of flags the whole time, had the balls to SHOW THE PALESTINIAN FLAG WHEN THEIR PUBLIC VOTE SCORE WAS ANNOUNCED. Dang. My love for them just went through the roof. Hatari mun sigra!
