Final (23.05.15.)

2: Lisa Angell - N'oubliez pas (France)
Like Graham said, the title means 'don't forget' but forgetting is definitely something I'm going to do regarding this song. Yawwwwwn.

5: Electro Velvet - Still in Love with You (United Kingdom)
I like that it's upbeat, but the song just... doesn't really go anywhere. It's just the same melody again and again. Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

12: Guy Sebastian - Tonight Again (Australia)
Australia, honeys, your song is FIRE! Aww yes. You can join us again any time. <3

14: The Makemakes - I Am Yours (Austria)
Speaking of fire... why did you do that to the poor piano?? D: Still, I actually rather like this. Decent song, nice voice, sexy man, all good - aside from the wholly unnecessary piano abuse, of course.

17: Ann Sophie - Black Smoke (Germany)
It's just... not doing anything for me. Worst of all, I discovered that apparently this nice synthy number could've represented Germany in place of this... boringness. Egh.

21: Edurne - Amenecer (Spain)
Y'know what, this'd probably sound kinda epic paired with some high fantasy visuals or something. Likely to grow on me.

27: Il Volo - Grande amore (Italy)
Italyyy, very nice! Handsome men with operatic tenor voices, ooh yes. What a wonderful closing song too.

And congratulations to Sweden! Wasn't my top favourite song (that award goes to the Latvian entry, fucking WOW), but excellent presentation and catchy tune = deserved win IMO. Russia's entry was nice and well-performed, though, and Polina Gagarina comes across as being a real sweetheart. Y'know, apparently she told her Instagram followers not to hate on Conchita? Awesome, considering the situation in her home country (which, I hear, has been censoring Conchita's appearances this year). Also pleased that Italy did so well. Oh, and we got five points! That's five more than nil points, guys. Excellent. Three of those came from San Marino, so we must show them our gratitude. And, finally, I was pleased to see our lovely guests, Australia, managed to gain fifth place!

One little thing, though? I really wish Finland's entry had got through to the final. Why? Well, I imagine people sitting in front of their tellies, yawning after having to endure yet another ballad, when suddenly OH MY FUCKING GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS. It would have been beautiful. Oh well.

Well anyhow. This year we were building bridges, next year we will be building IKEA furniture. Let's hear it for Sweden 2016!

We got 5 points? Those other 3 must have snuck in when I went to the toilet because I thought we only had 2. Though I enjoyed our entry this year (I'm a sucker for stuff inspired by Ragtime jazz) and would probably tap along to it if it was a summer hit on the radio, it really wasn't a winning song for me either.

I agree with all your other sentiments too and I think that other German entry would have been far better as well since there was nothing else like it this year (plus it was educational with half the lyrics just naming muscle groups! XD) Also Finland, I could totally see that after Lithuania's poppy "let's pause in the middle and snog" summer chart hit entry and the audience going "WTF?!" XD
